The reason is simple: this website does not deposit any cookie, any tracker, or any temporary analytics file on your device during public browsing.

Why is this possible?

We designed our showcase website as a simple document for consultation. Unlike most current sites:

• We don't need to know who you are while you browse the public pages.
• We don't use third-party traffic analytics tools (like Google Analytics).
• We don't place any advertising pixel, third-party tracker, or tracking cookie.

Connected areas (My Account & Wiki): necessary technical exceptions

If you decide to create an account on localprose.com or to participate in discussions on our community space (wiki.localprose.com), these services require technical authentication mechanisms to secure your browsing and keep your session active:

• Main Client Area: Your browser locally stores, in a technical zone called localStorage, a session token strictly necessary to keep you signed in across pages.
• Community Area (Wiki): When you sign in via the third-party secure identification module (Discord), technical cookies specific to the platform and the comment management infrastructure are temporarily deposited on your device (authentication session cookies).

These technical session data:

• are strictly necessary for the operation of the services you expressly request (staying signed in to your account, publishing a comment under your identity);
• are never transmitted to unauthorized third parties, nor used for advertising profiling or cross-audience measurement;
• are automatically cleared or expired according to your browser's security rules or upon your active sign-out;
• are limited to localprose.com subdomains and do not track your activity outside the site.

In accordance with the CNIL doctrine and the European ePrivacy directive, these local storages and session cookies strictly necessary to provide a service expressly requested by the user do not require prior consent.

And when using the software?

LocalProse is an application that runs locally on your machine. When you decide to purchase a license or manage your license, these secure actions are handled directly by our application or via the secure pages of our banking partner (Stripe).

This technical compartmentalization guarantees that your simple visit to our information site leaves no exploitable digital trace.
